Severe flash floods triggered by cloudburst near Mcleodganj in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala due to continuous rainfall has caused serious damages to the public properties in Bhagsu village. 

Himachal Pradesh has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the last few days. Many cars were swept away, hotels destructed after this flash floods. Apart from this, around 10 shops damaged as the Manjhi River rages following the heavy rainfall in the state. 

Following this, the National Highway was stopped near Jhakri in the Rampur area of Shimla district. Now, the process of clearing the road had started with officials making their way to the site. 

The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas BV has requested the party workers to assist the stranded locals and tourists affected by heavy floods. 

"These visuals of Cloudburst in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh are terrifying. I urge youth congress workers to help tourists & citizens affected by heavy floods.  @IYCHimachal (sic)," Srinivas BV tweeted. 

IMD Predicts Heavy to Extremely Heavy Rainfall in HP 

IMD has said that Himachal Pradesh will experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in upcoming days too. 

Recently, the Meteorological Department has also issued an orange weather alert of heavy to very heavy rains in plains and mid-hills on July 12 and 13 July and a yellow weather Alert for July 14 and 15.
