Budget 2023: Government Likely to Increase PM Kisan Money!
Budget 2023 that is scheduled to be announced on February 1 could bring lots of surprises for the farmers.
There are a lot of expectations from the upcoming Budget 2023 as people from various sectors are pinning high hopes on the Central government's decisions and announcements.
Not just the general public or salaried individuals but the farming community is also waiting for some big announcements by the Modi Government.
Govt may make big announcements for farmers during Budget 2023
Media reports claim that in budget 2023, the central government can come up with some big surprises for the farmers. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman can announce a hike in the amount of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a scheme launched for the farmers in 2018.
The financial assistance of Rs. 6000 given to farmers every year under the scheme is expected to be increased. The government can take this decision with the aim of doubling farmers’ income.
Media reports further claimed that the amount given to PM Kisan beneficiaries in three installments may now be given in four installments. This means if the amount is increased then farmers will get PM Kisan installment four times in a year.
Due to continuous hike in the price of seeds and fertilizers, farmers have been demanding to increase the amount of PM Kisan since long. Several meetings have been held with the government regarding it but the amount has not yet been increased.
13th installment Update
The 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi can be released anytime by the government. Sources told that Centre may release the installment before Lohri i.e., 14 January. So far, government has disbursed 12 installments and the last one was released on 17 October 2022.
