California Almonds Make their Debuts at AAHAR International Food and Hospitality Fair
The Almond Board of California joined in AAHAR 2023 to promote almond consumption and the California almond industry in India.
In conjunction with AAHAR, the flagship B2B event organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), the premier trade promotion body of the Government of India, which recently concluded at Pragati Maidan, the Almond Board of California set up a booth at FIFI Pavilion to discuss the Board's ongoing commitment to the Indian market.
Harbinder Maan, associate director, trade marketing and stewardship, and Guangwei Huang, associate director, food research & technology, Almond Board of California, were on hand to discuss a variety of topics, including flavour inspiration, an overview of almond forms, and ways to maximize usage, as well as provide samples in growing snack categories.
During AAHAR 2023, the Almond Board of California pavilion was visited by a great number of food manufacturers, importers, new brands, supply chain specialists, and research and development food professionals.
"It has been an enriching experience working with the food makers and other stakeholders at AAHAR," Maan remarked of the success of AAHAR 2023. We promoted California almonds as a diverse, flavorful, and useful food, and we gave the stakeholders that stopped by our exhibit samples of almond cookies and almond health bars."
"AAHAR gave an opportunity for us to educate on numerous topics such as almond types, standards and grades, best practices for storage and handling," Huang added. India is a major market for the Board, and we wanted to improve the experience of consumers who consume almond-containing goods."
California almonds are high in both the micronutrient vitamin E and the mineral magnesium, and they also contain 75mg of calcium per serving.
