CAT 2023 Registration Deadline Extended Till September 20, 2023, Apply Now

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has announced the CAT 2023 registration deadline extension until 5:00 pm on September 20, 2023 (Wednesday). This decision was made by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) in response to the difficulties candidates were facing in obtaining the required documentation for timely registration.

It is important to emphasize that there will be no additional extension of the registration deadline beyond this date. The CAT Convenor strongly encourages candidates to register well in advance to ensure a smooth registration process and to prevent any last-minute rush.

Registration Form Edit Window:

After the registration window for CAT 2023 closes, candidates will have a limited opportunity to make edits to specific sections of their application form, should the need arise. These sections include the photograph, signature, and test city preferences. However, it's important to note that this edit window will be brief and will exclusively apply to candidates who have both paid the requisite registration fee and successfully completed their CAT 2023 registration within the specified deadline.

CAT 2023 Examination Details

Regarding the CAT 2023 examination itself, it is scheduled to take place on November 26, 2023, which falls on a Sunday. The test will be divided into three sessions. As for the test duration, candidates can expect it to last for a total of 120 minutes.

The test consists of three main sections:

1. Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

2. Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

3. Section III: Quantitative Ability

Each section has a strict time limit of 40 minutes for answering questions, and candidates cannot switch between sections while answering. Tutorials to understand the test format will be accessible on the CAT website starting from October 2023. It is recommended that candidates utilize these tutorials well in advance.
