The Class 12 exam results for 2022 were released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). According to reports, this year 92.71 percent students have cleared the exam.

Using their roll number and school number, students can get the scorecard on the websites cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in.

The weighted average of the marks from the term 1 and term 2 exams in 2022 has been used to prepare the CBSE final mark sheet. The scorecard contains data about the marks obtained over the academic year for project work, practical exams, and pre-board exams.

Students are, however, opposing this method of calculating marks. Vishal Christopher Singh, a class 12th student of Rainbow English School, New Delhi said, “Term 1 format of examination was new for us and the majority of students didn’t score well so CBSE should calculate the final score on the basis of the best of either term. It is the only fair method of calculating results seeing that we gave the exams while going through a very stressful time during the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Another class 12th student of Mayur Public School, Mansi Kandwal, said, "I am upset about the format of the examination. It is unfair as most of us didn't score well in our Term 1 exam. This format of calculating our final marks has severely affected our grades."

CBSE term 2 exam was held between April 26 and June 4.  In two terms, CBSE conducted the exams for the academic year 2021–2022.

Multiple-choice questions were used in the CBSE term 1 board examinations, which were held in November–December 2021. Analytical and case-based questions were used in the term 2 exams, which were held in April–May 2022. The board did not declare the results of term 1 as pass, fail, or mandatory repeat.
