Chandrayaan-3 Successfully Lands on Moon, PM Narendra Modi Says, 'India is on the Moon'; Celebrations on Twitter Begins

As Vikram, the Chandrayaan -3 lander touched the moon's surface after 6 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually connected with the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) team and congratulated them saying, "Indis is on the Moon". Here's a look at how people on social media are celebrating.

As Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the moon's surface on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually connected with the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) team and congratulated them saying, "India is on the Moon".

 "India becomes the first country to go to the south pole of the moon, while it is the fourth country to successfully performing soft landing on moon," said ISRO scientist. Mission Director Srikant thanked his team.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has joined the ISRO team virtually from South Africa. "When we see such a history before our eyes, then our lives get an accomplishment. It is a moment of new India," he said. "This is the moment of 140 crore heartbeats. It will bring new energy, new trust in the country," he adds. 

The celebration of the Chandrayaan-3 landing on Twitter began right after the landing. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bollywood actor Sunny Deol and Cricketer Virat Kohli shared their happiness on social media.
