Christmas Weekend in Paris Wreaks Havoc as a 69-year-old Man Opens Fire Indiscriminately!

A Parisian gunman, aged 69, opened fire at a Kurdish Cultural Centre killing three and injuring several people around. Protests and unrest broke out around Paris in consequence of the attack.

Christmas Weekend in Paris turned to havoc as a 69-year-old man fired at the Kurdish Community Centre at Rue d'Enghien in the 10th district of Paris, killing three Kurdish migrants along with leaving several injured leading to protests and unrest around the area the community was enraged by the death of fellow immigrants. 

The alleged attacker was arrested immediately, who was later recognized as an ex-convict for attacking migrant camps last year. The attack is said to be racially motivated. The bone-chilling attack has raised serious concerns of safety amongst the Kurdish community. The Chief of French Police met over the weekend with the community to ensure safety and wipe out concerns.

The attack enraged the anti-racist protestors leading to a clash with the French Police as some protestors resorted to vandalism. Even though the motive behind the attack has not been proved to be solely racist, the detainees' past states that he was attacking foreigners. 

CCTV around the attack area showed multiple people trying to subdue the attackers, tackling the situation prior to the arrival of the Police. Reports stated that the attacker might have just acted alone and was not associated with any radical movements. 

Last year the attacker was convicted for swinging swords at migrants at a migrant camp as he attacked tents raising panic among the people, which was derived to be under violence toward race. The attacker is likely to face charges of murder and attempted murder, as reported by the prosecutors office as they’ve added motive behind murder to be racist. Previously in 2013, 3 women activists were shot in Paris at the Kurdish center for racist motives.
