CII NR Agri-Tech 2023 Ignites the Next Agri & Food Revolution with a Focus on Harnessing Technology
The 4th Edition of CII NR Agri-Tech kicked off today i.e., 13 April 2023 at India Habitat Centre Jacaranda Hall, New Delhi with the theme “Harnessing Agri Tech for driving next Agri & Food Revolution - Process, Impact & Potential.”
The 4th Edition of CII NR Agri-Tech kicked off today at India Habitat Centre Jacaranda Hall, New Delhi bringing in participants from different sectors of agriculture including corporates, scientists, farmers, and students. The Theme was “Harnessing Agri Tech for driving next Agri & Food Revolution - Process, Impact & Potential”
The inaugural session started with the panel discussion-1 focusing on releasing the potential and panel discussion-2 focusing on the next growth phase with the agritech ecosystem developing, evolving, and being scaled up with growing robustness than ever before, and lastly, panel discussion-3 focusing on the food processing value addition and growth where the food processing industry in India provides great opportunities across sub-segments with the growing focus on catering to both domestic as well as exports markets.
Hitin Suri Joint Managing Director, Suri Agro Fresh Pvt Ltd said during the interview, “For maintaining safety and health regarding food processing it is based on the cleanliness and hygiene of the food then only the food will be bacteria free and without contamination and these are the basic characteristics of food processing which are also available on the internet and without involving huge expenses.”
R G Agarwal, Chairman of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd said, “The biggest advice for farmers today is that firstly they should acquire proper agriculture knowledge from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Universities and the cost of input matters a lot and the advanced technology in the present times is also a huge matter of concern along with the knowledge of direct marketing.”
Additionally, Sanjeev Kanwar, Conference Co-Chair & Country Manager of Yara India, said, “I think the agri start-ups have a potential to play a very important role to play in Agri sector and trying to address the knowledge issues so, digital is the way to do that and advice the farmers when to use, what to use, how to use for hazo herb particular farm and that can only happen when you address it digitally.”
