CII-Southern Region's Agri Tech South 2022 Rescheduled from 20-22 April 2022
It is becoming increasingly important to push for necessary and timely interventions at the Industry, Institution, FPOs, and individual farmer level for the transformation of the agriculture sector.
In the last fifty years, agriculture in India has progressed from a country facing severe food shortages to one that is not only food self-sufficient but also a net food exporter. Agriculture is now the primary source of income for approximately 58 percent of India's population, accounting for 15-20% of India's GDP.
It is worth noting that Krishi Jagran is the media partner of Agri Tech South 2022.
The rich and diverse geography of the Southern Region has contributed to the cultivation of a diverse range of crops. Agriculture also plays an important role in people's livelihoods, particularly in rural areas reliant on agriculture and related opportunities. With a coastline that stretches all the way across South India, the scope and potential for fisheries are enormous.
Despite significant progress, agriculture in India still has a long way to go in terms of global benchmarks. To achieve global standards, farms must be modernized, the latest technologies adopted, and substantial investment in irrigation, seeds, fertilizers, and new technology, as well as a shift into high-value commodities such as horticulture, poultry, and dairying.
It is becoming increasingly important to push for necessary and timely interventions at Industry, Institution, FPOs and individual farmer levels for the transformation of Agriculture sector.
The Confederation of Indian Industry-Southern Region will hold its third edition of Agri Tech South 2022 in Hyderabad from April 20-22, 2022 (New Dates) at Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University.
The goal is to establish a platform for showcasing and introducing the best and most recent Agri inputs, products, services, and technologies that will power agriculture in the future. It would also serve as a forum for some of the world's best agricultural minds, as well as key representatives from government, industry, academia, and the farming community, to discuss, deliberate, identify priorities, and propose an agenda for the country's agriculture sector's growth.
