The efforts and decisions implemented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao have brought about a revolutionary change in the agricultural sector of Telangana, according to Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy. Speaking at the tenth anniversary celebration of Telangana's Formation Day at Rythu Vedika in Endlapally, Suryapet mandal, Minister Reddy highlighted the significant improvements in irrigation facilities and the subsequent increase in agricultural productivity.

Minister Reddy commended the government's focus on improving irrigation facilities in the district, stating that the total irrigated area had witnessed a substantial growth from 2.05 lakh acres to 5.82 lakh acres since 2014. This development was made possible by the supply of Godavari water through the SRSP canal, which now caters to the irrigation needs of over two lakh acres of agricultural land.

The improved irrigation facilities have had a remarkable impact on paddy production in the region. Minister Reddy revealed that paddy production had witnessed a three-fold increase, rising from 4.23 lakh metric tons to an impressive 12.27 lakh metric tons. This significant surge in output not only benefits farmers but also contributes to the state's overall food security.

Rythu Bandhu scheme provides investment support to farmers based on the extent of their land. By extending financial aid to the agricultural community, the government aims to empower farmers and enhance their livelihoods.

Additionally, the government has introduced the Rythu Bima scheme, which provides financial assistance to the families of farmers who have tragically lost their lives since 2014. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 165.75 crore has been disbursed to the families of 3,314 farmers in the district, providing them with the necessary support during difficult times.

Telangana's achievements in the electricity sector have also garnered national admiration. The state government has ensured uninterrupted power supply round the clock to various sectors, including agriculture. This relentless commitment to providing electricity has played a pivotal role in supporting the agricultural community and bolstering the overall development of the state.

As Telangana celebrates its Formation Day, the accomplishments and initiatives introduced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's administration in the agricultural sector have undoubtedly improved the lives of farmers.

The government's efforts in enhancing irrigation facilities, promoting agricultural productivity, and providing financial assistance have rightfully earned the respect and recognition that farmers deserve in society.
