In order to educate farmers about the safe use of agrochemicals, Coromandel International Limited will continue the tradition of honoring Farmer's Day as ‘Product Stewardship Day’.

The company thinks that it is important to protect the safety of its employees, farmers, and clients when utilizing crop protection chemicals.

On the occasion of Farmer's Day, Coromandel's field teams will hold a number of farmer meetings in various parts of the country to inform the farmers about the safe use of pesticides, including how to use them, how to handle them, the harmful effects of careless use, how to read the labels on the packages, how much to use, how to use protective equipment when spraying, and more.

According to the company, 'Stewardship Day' marks their step towards accomplishing the organization’s mission of "enhancing the prosperity of farmers through quality farm solutions with sustainable value for all stakeholders.”

The meetings will be conducted physically as well as will be broadcasted on the social media platform Facebook.

Kisan Diwas 2022

Every year on December 23, India observes Kisan Diwas (National Farmers Day) as a way to honor and appreciate its farmers.

The date has been chosen as it also marks the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Choudhary Charan Singh, a renowned farmer's leader whose efforts resulted in the creation of various welfare schemes to improve the lives of Indian farmers.

Singh played a crucial role in the Indian agriculture industry while serving as the 5th Prime Minister of India from July 1979 to January 1980. He created and implemented numerous farmer's bills, following the motto of the late Lal Bahadur Shashtri, India's second prime minister.
