COVID-19 Vaccination: Step by Step Registration Process for 18 Years & Above

Considering the gruesome situation due to Coronavirus in the country, the Central Government on Monday, April 19, 2021, announced that the COVID-19 vaccination drive will be open to all above the age of 18 years.

This is the third phase of the vaccination drive, and it will start on May 1, 2021.  

So now, the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to each and every citizen of India above the age of 18 years, regardless of comorbidities.  

This decision on a liberalized and accelerated phase three strategy of COVID-19 vaccination was taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with doctors.  

The government announced that the vaccination drive will be held as earlier as possible. Coronavirus vaccines will be free of cost at all government-run COVID centers, while private hospitals can “transparently declare” a self-set cost for the vaccine. 

How to Register for COVID-19 vaccination through Website

• Visit the official website of CoWIN- cowin.gov.in

• Enter your 10-digit mobile number

• You will receive an OTP on the mobile number, enter it in the mentioned blank space.

• Fill your personal details including name, age, gender and more.

• Once registered, schedule your preferred date and time.

• Upload the required documents.

• Get your COVID-19 vaccination done.

• After this, you will get a Reference ID via which you can get your vaccination certificate. 

Once you get the first dose of COVID-19 Vaccination, automatically an appointment for the second dose will be scheduled.  

How to Register for COVID-19 vaccination via Aarogya Setu App  

• Download and install the Aarogya Setu app on your Android or iOS device.

• If you already have it, then don’t forget to update.

• Register yourself using on-screen instructions.

• Tap on the Vaccination tab.

• Enter your mobile number and verify it via OTP.

• Then, register for the vaccine by filling up the required details.

You will require Aadhar card/ PAN card /Voter ID or any other photo ID at the time of registration.
