CUET 2022: Registration Process Starts Today, Checkout Admission Criteria

CUET 2022 registration process has started today (6 April 2022). Candidates seeking admission to universities can go through the respective details.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 application process will begin today, April 6. The CUET 2022 will be held for admission to UG programs in all UGC-funded central universities that will begin in the academic year 2022-23. Students interested can apply at the official website — cuet.samarth.ac.in.

Besides, on Tuesday, April 5, Delhi University had released its admission policy for the 2022-23 academic years. Except for the School of Open Learning & the National Collegiate Women's Education Board, admission to undergraduate (UG) programs will be done through CUET 2022, according to the DU Vice-Chancellor, Yogesh Singh.

While CUET 2022 is a separate admissions opportunity for students to apply to any of the country's central universities, a few colleges with different admission criteria have released important details ahead of their UG admissions process for the 2022-23 academic year.

St Stephen’s College

Cut-offs and interviews were once used to determine admission to St Stephen's College. The statutory bodies of Delhi University have stated that minority institution admissions, such as St Stephen's College, will be handled through the CUET 2022. "As per the reservation policy of such colleges, separate merit lists will be generated for unreserved and minority candidates during counseling," they stated.

Jamia Millia Islamia

Admissions to selected undergraduate (UG) programs at Jamia Millia Islamia will be conducted through the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET 2022). According to the university, eight courses have been chosen for CUET 2022 admissions so far. "At a meeting attended by the university's top officials, it was decided that admissions for selected undergraduate courses will be done through CUET," the university clarified.

Jesus And Mary College

JMC will also have to go through CUET for admissions, with separate merit lists for unreserved and minority candidates.

In the first and second weeks of July, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be most likely held. The CUET 2022 is going to be held in 13 languages — Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, and English.
