India is mainly an agrarian society with more than half of its population still residing in the villages. Because the rural sector accounts for the majority of the country's GDP, a lack of development in villages relates to a lack of development in India. In agriculture, start-ups, cooperative societies, and farmer-owned organizations, all play important roles.

Keeping this in mind, Krishi Jagran held a curtain-raising conference for its Agri Startup, Cooperative, and FPO Summit 2023 to reveal the date of events. The Agri Start Up, Cooperative, and FPO Summit is co-organized with Dr. Ajay K Jha, Co-Founder of the Institute for Global Agriculture and Technology Transfer (IGATT). The 3-day Summit will be held on 24,25,26 February 2023.

M C Dominic gave a heartfelt speech about the ambition behind this Summit. He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Ajay in his speech, “It was Dr. Ajay who helped me start at the beginning of Krishi Jagran. Dr. Ajay will be bringing global expertise to us. Startups are guiding the new generation. In the coming years, FPOs will support farmers globally and not just in India. “

Dr. Ajay said, “In my 10 years of working in India, I bought 300+ companies into agro tech. We will give Indian farmers access to US markets and we would like to bring that opportunity to this Summit. We will be focusing on farmers to farmers, B2B contacts, and company contacts so that everyone can freely interact with each other.”

Professor Anchal Arora, Director of IGATT said in her speech, “Farmers are the ones who run the company, not the government. No matter how digitalized India gets, you can’t download chappati’s from Google. Farmers are the present and future of our nation and technology in agriculture is the need of the hour. Through this summit, we will be combining agriculture and technology to drive farmers and this country to success.”

Kamal Somani, “ It is said in India that if a child fails to build his career, he takes up farming. But this generation is willing to move toward the agriculture sector in a new and innovative way. They are using technology and new methods of farming to get the best outcome. Farmers can benefit from them by learning what to grow and the right techniques for farming. I wish Krishi Jagran all the best with this great initiative.”

Pramod Mishra congratulated Krishi Jagran on this great initiative and highlighted the major issues faced by farmers which have never been discussed. He explained that if you want to think for the benefit of the farmers then you must go to the fields and talk to each farmer. He hopes that the Summit is successful in its mission. My father gave the slogan “Chalo Gaon ki Or” to Krishi Jagran when Krishi Jagran was still a young media house.
