It's always been a major issue among the farming community and the individual farmers for the agricultural growth and the development lacking villages and the statement from the political leaders for the poor farmers regarding their debt relief is not a very different thing before any election season.

Recently Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress visited the rural and tribal districts situated in Chhattisgarh state. During the visit, he attended the farmers and tribal conference held at Sitapur, in Sarguja district. Meanwhile, the Party President addressed the people attending the conference that, "Every single farmer of the country wants debt relief, whether it's from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan, It's not a matter of any particular state but a serious issue for the country."

He further added and accused the present active government that "B.J.P. (Bhartiya Janta Party) government is not providing any Minimum Support Price to the farmers and also no add-ons in bonus, many insurance schemes are being failed, various land which belongs to the poor farmers is the only source for their living has been acquired for the industrial projects. Government is capable of giving debt waiver to the industrialists but when it comes to the farmers it's not making any change."

Later on, while talking about the upcoming election he said, " It's not so far when the Indian National Congress will be leading the nation after the 2019 election and I promise to the whole farmers' community that within 10 days all the debts on the farmers will be relieved. What happened after 2014 election is visible to everyone. Before the election, BJP leaders promised to deposit the amount of 15 lakhs in every single account holder's account, but it still is in words only. I've talked and requested to the Prime Minister regarding the debt relief for the farmers but he never responded it well."

When it's about politics and the election, there are many promises the political leaders make but how many of them seriously gets implemented?
