Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, slightly above normal. However, the upcoming rainfall is expected to bring down the mercury. Tuesday's Air Quality Index (AQI) was in the 'satisfactory' category.

A cyclonic storm from Rajasthan towards Delhi may result in moderate to heavy rain in the capital over the next two days. While the rain is welcome, the humidity levels in Delhi-NCR are expected to remain high this week.

Besides Delhi, IMD has also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh is also under an orange alert for August 7 and 8 due to the potential for severe weather conditions.

Delhi has already experienced scattered and light rainfall on Monday, accompanied by strong winds. The city is expected to remain cloudy with moderate rain throughout the week.
