DMRC: Delhi Metro Train Services & Timings On Republic Day & Beating Retreat Ceremony

DMRC : The Delhi Metro's services will be temporarily halted on Republic Day (26 January 2022), as part of the Delhi Police's security measures for the Republic Day celebrations. From 6 A.M. on January 25 until 2 P.M. on January 26, 2021, all metro parking lots will be closed. 

Ina statement DMRC said, "On Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, Republic Day the Delhi Metro's Line-2 (HUDA City Centre – Samaypur Badli) will be largely controlled". This is being done in accordance with Delhi Police's directives as part of the security plans for the Republic Day celebrations".

Details of the Metro Corridor Modified Schedule

  • Line 2 (HUDA City Centre - Samaypur Badli) I From the start of revenue services until 12:00 Noon, the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations would be blocked to entry and exit.

  • The main purpose of the Central Secretariat station will be to transfer passengers between Lines 2 and 6.

  • From 08:45 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., the Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg Metro stations will be blocked to entry and departure.

  • From 6:00 A.M. on January 25, 2022, to 2:00 P.M. on January 26, 2022, all Metro parking lots will be closed. As part of the security arrangements, this step has also been taken.

 

Metro Train Service on Beating Retreat Ceremony (January 29, 2022) 

"Beating Retreat Ceremony: From 02.00 PM to 06.30 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 (Beating Retreat), Metro services at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations of Line 2 (HUDA City Centre - Samaypur Badli) will be unavailable.

During this time, travellers can transfer from Line 2 to Line 6 (Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh) and vice versa at the Central Secretariat Metro station. "At 6:30 p.m., normal service will be resumed at these stations," the DMRC said. 

Note: 

In the meanwhile, everyone attending the Republic Day parade must be completely vaccinated and minors under the age of 15 will not be permitted to participate, according to a set of rules released by the Delhi Police.
