Dr Ashok Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General (Agriculture Extension) of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU).
He also has more than 8 years of experience as the ZPD, Zone-4 at the Indian Council of Agriculture research (ICAR).

Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University is the country's second Central Agricultural University which was founded and given its name in honour of Rani Lakshmi Bai, a heroic freedom fighter known as the warrior queen of Jhansi who gave her life on the altar of independence.
The university's goals are to educate various fields of agriculture and allied sciences, conduct agricultural research, run extension education programmes, and develop connections with local, national, and international educational institutions.
