Dr CK Ashok Kumar Selected as the President of India Vetiver Network (INVN)
Dr CK Ashok Kumar, the founder of First World Community, has been selected to lead the Vetiver Network of India at the global Vetiver leaders’ meeting this evening. Initiated in 1995, The Vetiver Network International (TVNI) has been arduously working towards creating awareness on the immense potential & miraculous applications of this wonder grass.
Dr CK Ashok, Chairman of the First World Community was unanimously selected to lead the Vetiver Network of India at the global Vetiver leaders’ meeting this evening. Eminent professionals from several countries joined the online meeting hosted by Mr MC Dominic, Founder and Editor in Chief of Krishi Jagran, Agriculture World, Tractor News and Agriculture Journalist Association of India, to frame a road map for creating awareness on the exemplary applications of this wonder grass.
Dr Ashok's name was proposed by Mrs Mamta Jain, Editor & CEO, Agriculture World magazine which recently published a special edition on VETIVER, released at the International conference in Thailand. As we know, Vetiver has the potential to mitigate climate change, save the soil and protect our environment along with its immense medicinal benefits.
Mr Richard Grimshaw, founder of The Vetiver Network International emphasized on the crucial role that a central administrative body will need to play in creating awareness, mobilizing training programs, setting up research centers, involvement of farmers in exploiting the potential of Vetiver, coordination with all echelons of the government and working on a sustainable funding module.
A few senior Vetiver professionals who shared their invaluable insights on the blue print were Sh P Haridas, Dr M Moni, Mr Patanjali Jha, Mr Vincent P, Dr Pradeep Kumar, Dr Babulal Mahato, Dr Devesh Walia, Mr Robinson Vanoh, Mr Abdul Samad, Mr Samsun Nabi, Dr Subramanian PN and others.
