Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Chairs Review Meeting for Upcoming 12th Edition of India Chem-2022

The India Chem exhibition aims to highlight the enormous potential that the Indian Chemical industry and various industry segments (e.g. Chemicals, Petrochemical, Agrochemical Industry, Process and Machinery) have in terms of a favourable ecosystem provided by supportive government policy, major investment opportunities for investors.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, presided over the meeting to plan the upcoming 12th Edition of India Chem-2022. This year's edition's theme is "Vision 2030-Chem and Petrochemicals Build India."

Bhagwant Khuba, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Arti Ahuja, Secretary, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, FICCI members, and senior Ministry officials attended the meeting.

The Union Minister stated on the occasion, "The event will highlight tremendous potential and supportive government policy for long-term growth in the sector. It will also serve as a platform for domestic and international investors, as well as other stakeholders, to interact and form alliances to further Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji's 'Make in India, Make for the World' mission ". Dr. Mandaviya also unveiled the brochure for the 12th edition of India Chem-2022, themed "Vision 2030 - Chemicals and Petrochemicals Build India."

The Union Minister went on to say, "The event will allow attendees to identify investors and opportunities. While the Indian government has been providing a favourable environment for global investors through its "Ease of Doing Business" policies and incentives, the upcoming global event will highlight India as a favourable destination for investors and stakeholders in the chemicals sector ".

The flagship event of the 12th edition of India Chem-2022, one of the largest composite events of the chemical and petrochemical sector in the Asia-Pacific Region, will be organized by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals in collaboration with FICCI from October 6-8, 2022.

The India Chem exhibition aims to highlight the enormous potential that the Indian Chemical industry and various industry segments (e.g. Chemicals, Petrochemical, Agrochemical Industry, Process and Machinery) have in terms of a favourable ecosystem provided by supportive government policy, major investment opportunities for investors.

The Indian Chemicals and Petrochemicals sector is currently worth USD 178 billion. This industry supports the Prime Minister's Make in India and Make for the World initiatives. The chemical and petrochemical industries have the potential to transform India into a global manufacturing powerhouse. India is not only the world's sixth-largest chemical producer, but it also exports chemicals to over 175 countries. It accounts for 13% of total Indian exports.
