Eastern Regional Agriculture Fair 2022: Golden Opportunity for Farmers to Know About Latest Farm Technologies
This fair, which was arranged under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Chandra Srivastava, has a total of 150 stalls. Farmers from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Orissa, as well as notable institutions, will take part.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University will host a three-day Kisan Mela beginning today in Pusa, Bihar. It will be inaugurated by Dr. Sujay Rakshit, Director, Indian Maize Research Center, Ludhiana. Many renowned scientists will attend the fair as special guests, including Dr. Sunil Kumar Kukut, Chief General Manager of NABARD Bihar, Dr. RN Chatterjee, Director of Research Center Hyderabad, and Circle Manager of PNB, Maninath Jha.
Dr. AK Singh, Deputy Director General (Extension Education), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Dr. Anjani Kumar Attari, Director, Attari, Dr. RG Laha, Joint Director, Sikkim will be the chief guests of the closing ceremony.

Numerous Stalls have been Set Up

The attendees will be greeted by Dr. MS Kundu, Director of Extension Education. This fair has been designated as an Eastern Regional Fair by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. This is the first time the university has invited farmers from outside of Bihar to attend the fair.
Cultural programmes and poet conferences have also been scheduled for the farmers' amusement on the nights of March 12 and 13. Gaurav Chauhan, Ajay Anjam, Vikas Borbal, and Tushar Sharma will also host a poetry lecture on March 13. The university is also responsible for the farmers' accommodations.
Major Centre of Attraction:

Items made of banana fibre, mushroom products, and diverse bamboo furniture will be the centre of attraction in the Kisan Mela, along with the garden display. Aside from that, the farmers will be informed about the university's new technologies and research.

There will be numerous stalls dedicated to agricultural machinery, as well as a Kisan Goshthi. Farmers from all around the country will gather for this three-day Kisan Mela to share their knowledge.
