To commemorate National Farmers Day 2024, Krishi Jagran is hosting a special webinar with the tagline ‘Kisan Ke Saath-Kisan Ki Baat’ on December 23, 2024, to celebrate the incredible contributions of farmers to the nation's growth and development. National Farmers Day, celebrated annually on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, pays tribute to India's farming community's hard work and resilience.

During this webinar, progressive farmers, industry leaders, agricultural experts, and other prominent figures from the sector will share their experiences, discuss their journeys, and explore future prospects for agriculture.

1. Dr. Rajaram Tripathi

Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, a leader in organic herbs and spices, has an impressive turnover of Rs 75-80 lakh crores, earning him the title of 'Richest Farmer of India' at the MFOI Awards 2023. Known for his innovative 'High Yield Multi-Layer Cropping Pattern,' Dr. Tripathi has significantly contributed to educating farmers on organic practices.

2. Dr. Bharat Bhushan Tyagi

Padma Shri awardee Dr. Bharat Bhushan Tyagi, a pioneer in organic farming since 1976, has transformed agriculture through his groundbreaking practices. During the webinar, he will highlight critical challenges facing the sector.

3. Puneet Singh Thind

Founder & Director of Northern Farmers Mega FPO, Puneet Singh Thind is committed to empowering farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

4. Satish Babu Gadde

A fourth-generation farmer from Seethampeta Village, Andhra Pradesh, Satish Babu Gadde practices ‘regenerative cattle-based agriculture’ to maintain a sustainable farming system.

5. Raju Narsimham

Known for his innovative agricultural feats, Raju Narsimham has grown a horsegram creeper with over 10,000 branches and a mango tree that produced 22,000 mangoes in a single season.

6. Harpal Singh Grewal

Founder of Heavenly Farms, Harpal Singh Grewal is a visionary in sustainable agriculture and organic farming, inspiring others worldwide with his innovative approach.

7. Jaipal Reddy

Coordinator of the Southern Region, All India Farmers Alliance (AIFA), Jaipal Reddy is dedicated to supporting farmers in Southern India.

8. Soniya Jain

A progressive farmer from Rajasthan, Soniya Jain has promoted Integrated Farming Systems and helped others establish polyhouses and market value-added products.

9. Ashok Manwani

Specializing in freshwater pearl farming, Ashok Manwani has 20 years of experience and expertise in mushroom cultivation, spirulina, and azolla farming.

10. Kulanjan Manwani

Together with her husband, Ashok Manwani, Kulanjan Dubey has been instrumental in designing pearl culture across multiple Indian states.

11. Atul Awasthi

Atul Awasthi is the Director of Tafari Farmer Producer Company Limited, Lucknow, working to empower farmers through collaborative farming solutions.

12. JACS Rao

With extensive experience in the medicinal and aromatic plants sector, JACS Rao has dedicated his career to empowering small-scale farmers and local communities. He has spearheaded efforts to preserve and promote indigenous medicinal plants through innovative scientific approaches.

13. Amrita Bharti

Amrita Bharti runs 'Hariyali Farm' in Pune, an agro-tourism venture promoting sustainable farming while providing an immersive rural experience.

14. Yudhvir Singh

A Principal Scientist at IARI, Yudhvir Singh specializes in Rice Agronomy, Organic Farming, Soil Fertility Management, and Biofertilizers, shaping the future of sustainable farming.

15. Dr. CK Ashok

Chairman of First World Community and President of the India Vetiver Network (INVN), Dr. CK Ashok Kumar advocates for the use of Vetiver grass in sustainable farming.

16. PN Subramanian

Director of the India Vetiver Foundation, PN Subramanian promotes the use of Vetiver grass for environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture.

17. Narendra Singh Mehra

A pioneer in organic farming, Narendra Singh Mehra has developed the unique wheat variety Narendra 09 and inspires farmers to embrace innovative organic practices.

18. Monika Mohite

Monika Mohite, an organic farmer since 2010, has certified expertise in crops and animal husbandry. Her farm is a biodiversity zone with 15 Khillari and Devni cows and over 2000 Country Chickens.

19. Akash Chourasiya

Akash Chourasiya, a farmer from Sagar District, Madhya Pradesh, is recognized for his innovative farming methods, including organic and multi-layer agriculture. He pioneered the multi-layer farming technique on his land.

20. Yash Padhiar

Yash Padhiyar, an accomplished organic farmer and CEO of Gujarat's NABARD-supported SDAU Rural Business Incubation Center, advocates for farmers globally. He also serves on the board of Gujarat Farm Producer Cooperative and was honored at Cornell University in September 2024.
