EPFO Update: EPFO Releases Pension for Employees Under Prayaas Scheme

307 employees of various organisations in Gujarat who were covered by the "Prayaas" programme received their pensions on Thursday from the regional office of the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) in Ahmedabad.

The pension order is delivered to members under this plan on the day of superannuation. "The Regional PF office in Ahmedabad is one of the biggest offices in the nation, and we are one of the organisations that offer the highest pension."

More than 1,000 people have received their pensions for June. Typically, 500 people every month fall into this category. We have granted 307 pensions via the Prayaas system, which is likely the greatest number in the nation, out of the 1,000 pensions that were released. According to the Regional Commissioner of the Prayaas Manoranjan Kumar, the pension released under the Prayaas plan last month was only 70.

Employees of the Torrent Group, Dudhsagar Dairy, and Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) received their pensions on Thursday. A monthly pension is provided to members who retire after at least 10 years of service under the significant pension programme. People used to have a lot of problems submitting paperwork in the past.

According to Kumar, the government established this programme to start paying pensions on the member's final day of retirement. According to the official, the Ahmedabad office has already provided pensions to more than 500 employees under the Prayaas plan.

When questioned about whether the scheme's statistics were on the low side, Kumar responded, "The scheme has just started. It will be simpler to release pension under the plan if documentation is filed on time by the organization's responsible human resource department.
