EPFO Update: Good News for PF Account Holders; Government to Transfer Rs 81,000 to 6 Crore Employees

EPFO will soon transfer the amount at the interest rate of 8.1 percent in the PF account of employees. This is the lowest interest rate seen in the last 40 years.

If you have Rs 10 lakh in your PF account then you will receive Rs 81,000 as interest. If you have Rs 7 lakh in your PF account then you will get Rs 56,000 as interest.

EPFO Latest News: The working class is anticipating that the Modi government will soon transfer interest money to their PF accounts. More than 6 crore people will be benefitting from this as the central government has already announced 8.1 percent interest on PF. However, there is no information from EPFO about when the interest will be transferred.

How much interest money will be transferred?

EPFO will soon transfer the amount at the interest rate of 8.1 percent in the PF account of employees. This is the lowest interest rate seen in the last 40 years.

Earlier, the government provided an interest rate of 8.5 percent. So how much money will be transferred?

If you have Rs 10 lakh in your PF account then you will receive Rs 81,000 as interest. If you have Rs 7 lakh in your PF account then you will get Rs 56,000 as interest.

If you have Rs 5 lakh in your PF account, then you will get Rs 40,500 as interest.

If you have Rs 1 lakh in your PF account, then you will receive Rs 8,100 as interest.

To check whether you have received the interest in your PF account, follow these steps:

Send EPFO UAN LAN (Language) to 7738299899 from your EPFO registered mobile number.

You can also check your EPF balance through a missed call. Give a missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered number to know the balance.

To check your balance online via the EPF website, you must visit the EPF passbook portal and log in using your UAN number and password. Click on download/ view passbook. The window will show you the passbook where you can check your balance.

The Umang app also provides a way to check your PF balance. Open the Umang app and click on EPFO then click on Employee Centric Services. Next, click on Employee Centric Services, and after that click on View Passbook and enter UAN and Password. You will receive an OTP on the registered number. Enter the OTP and you will be able to check the balance.
