The Uttarakhand government has come up with this superb initiative called Tourist Incentive Coupon so as to attract tourists. So, if you want to explore the picturesque hills of Dehradun, Nainital and Mussoorie then this is the best opportunity!

Holiday in Uttarakhand: Tourist Incentive Coupon

Though, the offer will be made available in the coming days, it will only be applicable to those who do a 3-day online booking at any hotel or homestay in the state. The Uttarakhand tourism department has come up with this idea of giving out these discount coupons to improve tourism health in the Himalayan state.

The minister added, “The tourists will be given the discount coupon while registering themselves on the government portal under tourist category. They will then be able to use the coupon during their stay in a hotel or homestay in the tourist spots of the state.”

The decision on the pilot project was finalised at a Cabinet meeting recently. The government also discussed during the meeting about refunding tourists, who had advance bookings at the famous Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. However, the national park is still shut due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

We are well aware that tourism is one of the major sources of revenue for the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand. It draws a large number of tourists from across the country and globe every year. But amid the virus outbreak, the economy had to suffer. Hence, the government is now bringing some innovative activities and schemes to attract tourists and get back the tourism sector in shape.

Interestingly, it’s not only Uttrakhand, but even other Indian states have come up with some good offers to attract tourists, such as the Madhya Pradesh Government recently launched Intezaar Aapka campaign which calls tourists to visit the state.

So holidaymakers, if the hills of Dehradun, Nainital and Mussoorie has been calling to you, then now is the perfect opportunity for you to visit. Grab the offer and Enjoy!
