Farm Commodity prices to see downfall
There has been a bumper food production during the year 2016-2017 in India. The boosted plantations can be inferred by convolving a good monsoon and incentives to sow more pulses. Retail prices of some pulses have halved in the past six months and the prices of wheat and rice has been steady. The garlic has been cheaper and pepper, turmeric, chillies, jeera and coriander prices have dropped by 5%. Tomato prices which have caused an uproar in the market, are suspected to drop after August 15, after tomatoes from Nashik arrives in market and the supply increases.
