Farmers' Conference on "Bihar's Agriculture, India's Future - Viksit Bharat 2047" Successfully Concludes

Dhanuka Agritech Limited successfully organized a Farmers' Conference themed "Bihar's Agriculture, India's Future - Developed India 2047" on January 11, 2026, at Hotel Atithi, Ramdayalu Nagar, Muzaffarpur. The conference was held under the distinguished patronage of Shri Raj Bhushan Chaudhary, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.
The event brought together policymakers, agricultural scientists, academicians, industry representatives, and approximately 450 progressive farmers from various districts across Bihar, reflecting strong stakeholder engagement and commitment to agricultural advancement in the state.
The program commenced with the National Anthem, Saraswati Vandana, and felicitation of distinguished guests. In his inaugural address, Chief Guest Shri Raj Bhushan Chaudhary outlined various Central Government welfare schemes for farmers while emphasizing the critical importance of water conservation, efficient water management, and sustainable irrigation systems in agriculture. He underscored that effective water management is fundamental to long-term agricultural sustainability and rural prosperity.
Dr. Gopal Trivedi, former Vice Chancellor of Bihar Agricultural University, stressed the need for enhanced coordination between agricultural education, research institutions, and farming communities. He emphasized strengthening region-specific technologies and improving knowledge dissemination mechanisms.
Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Chief Scientific Advisor of Dhanuka Agritech Limited and former senior Government of India official, highlighted the significance of science-based crop protection, balanced utilization of agricultural inputs, and environmentally sustainable farming practices.
Dr. Anjani Kumar, Director of ICAR-ATARI Zone-IV, Patna, elaborated on the vital role of agricultural extension systems and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in disseminating advanced technologies and government schemes to farmers at the grassroots level.
Dr. Punyavrat Suvimlendu Pandey, Vice Chancellor of Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU), emphasized Bihar's substantial agricultural potential, particularly in crop diversification and value chain development, while highlighting the strategic role of the Makhana Board.
Dr. R.K. Jha, Extension Director of RPCAU, stressed the imperative of building farmer capacity, strengthening extension services, and aligning institutional efforts with the vision of Developed India 2047.
During the technical session, Dhanuka Agritech Limited showcased its integrated crop protection solutions and responsible input use strategies, specifically tailored to Bihar's agro-climatic conditions. Mr. Anupam Pal, Vice President and National Marketing Head, presented the company's approach centered on innovation, quality, and robust field support systems aimed at enhancing farmer productivity and income.
