Amid the intensifying farmer’s protest, the Supreme Court on Tuesday heard petitions related to the Centre's three new farm laws and those concerning people's right to free movement in the backdrop of the ongoing farmers' protest.

The Apex Court has recently given verdict and said it was putting a hold on the three farm laws till further notice and decides to set up a four-member committee to give a report to the court on the farm laws.

Former Union Law Minister Ashwani Kumar reacted after Supreme Court's judgment to stay all three farm laws until further order and said "the nation will expect lots from SC to solve humanitarian problems, but essentially it seems the matter of the policy."

"I do not know to what extent the Supreme Court eventually able to resolve the matter. The responsive government must come forward now to favorably consider the demand of the farmers," Ashwani Kumar told ANI.
