FICCI to Host 6th Agri Startup Summit & Awards on August 5, 2024

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is all set to host the 6th edition of the Agri Startup Summit & Awards on August 5, 2024, at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. This year's theme, "Nurturing Agri Innovations," aims to highlight the transformative power of technology in agriculture, promoting sustainable practices and innovative solutions.

The summit aims to sensitize, motivate, and address the challenges faced by agri startups, encouraging them to develop innovative solutions for the Indian and global agricultural sectors. FICCI will shine a spotlight on the groundbreaking innovations within the agriculture sector and honor the most impactful startups with awards.

The event will begin at 13:00 hrs with a networking lunch, allowing attendees to engage and exchange ideas. The Plenary Session, from 14:00 to 15:45 hrs, will feature a panel of experts discussing “Innovative Solutions in Agritech: Transforming Agriculture for a Sustainable Future.” This session will delve into the integration of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain in agriculture.

Hemendra Mathur, Chairman of the FICCI Task Force on Agri Start-ups, will moderate the session and provide insights on collaborative opportunities for agri startups with state governments. Faiz Ahmad Kidwai, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, will also address the session, discussing governmental support for agritech innovations.

The highlight of the event, FICCI Agri Startups Awards, will take place from 16:00 to 17:00 hrs. This segment will recognize and celebrate the achievements of outstanding startups contributing significantly to the agritech landscape. Jyoti Vij, Director General of FICCI, will deliver the opening remarks.

Hemant Sikka, Co-chairman of the FICCI National Agriculture Committee, President of the Farm Equipment Sector, and member of the Group Executive Board at Mahindra & Mahindra, will deliver the welcome address. Sikka is expected to highlight the importance of innovation in agriculture and the role of startups in promoting sustainable practices. His address will set the stage for subsequent discussions on overcoming challenges in agriculture through collaborative efforts. The keynote address will be delivered by the chief guest Bhagirath Choudhary, Hon'ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

The event will conclude with a networking tea session, providing an excellent opportunity for attendees to forge connections and discuss potential collaborations in the agritech sector.
