Finest Afghan Agriculture Products to be displayed in Mumbai

The Indian private company, ‘Future group’ will jointly work with USAID Commercial Horticulture and Agricultural Marketing Programme (CHAMP) to provide mutual benefits to the consumers in India and horticulture producers in Afghanistan. The collaboration will increase the domestic supply and give consumers more options during the off season, informed Gopal Bihani, head of farm fresh business at Future group on September 11.

The Indian private company, ‘Future group’ will jointly work with USAID Commercial Horticulture and Agricultural Marketing Programme (CHAMP) to provide mutual benefits to the consumers in India and horticulture producers in Afghanistan. The collaboration will increase the domestic supply and give consumers more options during the off season, informed Gopal Bihani, head of farm fresh business at Future group on September 11.

More than 50 Afghan agriculture exporters are presently in Mumbai for a 4-day 'Passage to Prosperity: India-Afghanistan International Trade and Investment Show' that opens today and also to explore business tie-ups in the state. They will also display finest Afghan agriculture products that include nuts, fruits and spices to buyers from Maharashtra and adjoining states in the show.

Afghan Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Naseer Ahmad Durrani said "Our agriculture export growth is likely to continue as South Asian economies expand and as Afghanistan's trade environment continues to improve”. He further added that as the country begins to reopen its gardens of fruits, spices and nuts, the Indian consumers will benefit from the all natural, unadulterated and tasty produce.
