Get 6,000 Rupees Under this Scheme, Know Who Is Eligible and How to Apply

Registration begins from September 1. Each family gets a monetary help of 6,000 rupees.

Bhupesh Baghel’s government in Chhattisgarh has started a new scheme called Rajiv Gandhi Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana which is meant to help landless farm labourers. The government claims that around 10 lakh farm labourers would benefit from this scheme.

According to reports, guidelines have already been laid for officials to prepare a list of landless farm labourers and make the yearly monetary help available for them.

Who is eligible?

The scheme intends to benefit rural landless farm labourers. The following shall not be eligible for it:

  • Doctor, Engineer, Chartered Accountant, Lawyer or a citizen of any other profession.

  • A person who has deposited income tax in the previous year or whose family has deposited income tax in the previous year.

  • A person who is an employee in any ministry, department, or office of the central government or state government. This would include those who serve or used to serve as officers.

  • Present or former members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha.

  • Present or former members of the State Legislative Assembly or Council.

  • Present or former Chairman of Zila Panchayat.

  • Families which live in urban areas.

  • Citizens who have served as officers or employees in any PSU or autonomous body.

  • Present or former president of any municipal unit, Janpad Panchayat or Gram Panchayat.

  • Persons who have been appointed to a constitutional post or held it previously.

  • Officers or employees working on contractual positions.

  • Regular employees of local bodies.

  • Present or former ministers of central or state government.

How to apply?

The heads of the families eligible to benefit from the scheme can apply with an application form. It will be mandatory for them to register on the portal Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana within the stipulated time period. The registration work in the portal will be done from 1st September to 30th November 2021.

What are the documents required?

Documents required for registration include Aadhar card, application form, and photocopies of bank passbook. These will have to be submitted to the secretary of Gram Panchayat. Mobile numbers will also have to be mentioned in the application form.
