GLA University & FARE Labs Sign MOU to Drive Advancements in Biotechnology, Microbiology & Food Technology
FARE Labs is an accredited laboratory, holding the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accreditation. The lab is renowned for its high-quality testing, calibration, and research services.
GLA University, located in Mathura, and FARE Labs, based in Gurgaon, have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration and advance research in the fields of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Technology, and Analytical Chemistry. The signing ceremony took place on May 13, 2023, at GLA University.
The MOU between GLA University and FARE Labs aims to foster joint research projects, facilitate knowledge exchange, and promote skill development initiatives. By leveraging their respective expertise and resources, both institutions seek to accelerate scientific advancements in biotechnology, microbiology, and food technology and effectively translate research findings into practical applications.
GLA University is widely recognized for its commitment to excellence in education and research. The university offers a diverse range of academic programs, including B.Tech., M.Tech., Ph.D., B.Sc., M.Sc., BA, B.Com, BBA, MBA, as well as diploma programs in Engineering, Agriculture, Law, and other fields. On the other hand, FARE Labs is an accredited laboratory, holding the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accreditation. The lab is renowned for its high-quality testing, calibration, and research services. With state-of-the-art facilities and a team of skilled professionals, FARE Labs specializes in testing, calibration, and proficiency testing of food and agricultural products, chemicals, paper pulp products, as well as pharma and fuels.
Additionally, the lab provides consultancy services for engineering plants, assists in building roadmaps for their setup, and undertakes projects related to new product development and R&D services. The collaboration between GLA University and FARE Labs will facilitate extensive knowledge sharing, collaborative research projects, and student internships. Faculty members, researchers, and students from both institutions will have the opportunity to collaborate on research endeavors, exchange scientific insights, and gain access to cutting-edge facilities and resources available at each organization.
Prof. Phalguni Gupta, the Vice Chancellor of GLA University, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership and mentioned that lectures and short-term training should be organized regularly for students and faculty members of GLA University, with the participation of scientists from FARE Labs. He also welcomed suggestions on the course syllabus provided by FARE Labs scientists. Dr. H B Singh from FARE Labs shared similar sentiments and highlighted the significance of collaborative writing projects.
