Godhan Nyay Yojana: Farmers to Get Rs 5.09 Crore Under This Scheme Today

The total amount paid would be Rs. 340.35 crores with the payment of Rs. 5.09 crore on September 5.

Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will e-transfer Rs 5.09 crore to farmers, livestock farmers, Gauthan committees, and women self-help groups on Monday (5 September 2022).

The e-transfer of payment will be done at a gathering that will take place at the Chief Minister's house in Civil Lines.

The sum includes dividends of Rs 1.48 crore for Gauthan committees, Rs 93 lakh to be paid to women's SHGs, and Rs 2.69 crore to be paid instead of 1.34 lakh quintal of cow dung acquired from livestock and landless farmers in Gauthans from August 15 to 31.

Cow dung and cow urine are exclusively purchased through the Godhan Nyay Yojana, which is the only program of its kind in the nation.

From July 2020 through August 15 of this year, peasants in Gauthans sold 79.12 lakh quintals of cow dung for a total of Rs.158.24 crore.

This amount will reach Rs. 160.94 crores with the September 5 payment of Rs. 2.69 crores to vendors of cow manure. Women's self-help organizations and Gauthan committees have received payments totalling Rs. 154.02 crores.

On September 5, this sum will increase to Rs. 156.42 after payment of Rs. 2.40 crore to Gauthan committees and self-help organizations.
