13 Lakh Farmers Receive Irrigation Subsidy!

Tomar said that the locations in the company area with the maximum irrigation pumps include Indore Rural Circle, Khargone, Dhar, Ujjain, Dewas, Ratlam, and Mandsaur. There are more than one lakh farmers in these districts.

In the previous month, the Madhya Pradesh government deposited a total of Rs 384.98 crore, or almost four billion rupees, in the virtual accounts of farmers.

The Madhya Pradesh government is now providing DBT subsidies for irrigation development in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Last month, the irrigation subsidy amount was transferred into the accounts of 13 lakh farmers of Malwa and Nimar.

Pradyuman Singh Tomar, the state's energy minister stated that DBT is working well for transparency and timely information about the help being given to farmers. This is a great step in the direction of digitization.

According to Amit Tomar, managing director of the Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company, the company has made significant progress toward digitalization, which is a high goal for both the central government and the state government of Madhya Pradesh. Virtual accounts were opened for 13.25 lakh farmers across the fifteen districts that make up the company area. The government's subsidy for irrigation work is now being transferred into these accounts.

The main objective of irrigation systems is to help agricultural crop growth, and landscape maintenance, reduce the effect of inadequate rainfall, etc. Therefore, the importance of irrigation systems is very high.
