Government Has to Listen to Protesting Farmers: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary visited Rashtrapati Bhawan on December 24. Rahul Gandhi met President regarding the issue of Farm Bill on Thursday.

“Every particle is echoing, and the government has to listen to protesting farmers", said Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary visited Rashtrapati Bhawan on December 24 and met President regarding the issue of Farm Bill on Thursday.

And after that, he attacked the government and said that farmers are going to be harmed by these laws.

Rahul Gandhi posted a video on his twitter handle in the support of farmer movement, farmers protesting against the new agricultural laws.

The caption line written with the video is-

“Mitti ka Kan-Kan Goonj raha hai,

Sarkar ko Sun na padega”

It means, “Each particle of soil is echoing, the government will have to listen.”

Rahul Gandhi’s Allegation He alleged that, “Democracy is no longer in India, if you think it is, then it is in your imagination only.

And those who will stand against the PM will be called terrorists, even if he is RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.” He added that, “I want to tell the Prime Minister that farmers won’t move, no-one will go back till the laws are repealed.”

Congress leaders demanded that the Centre must call up a Joint Parliament sitting and deflate the new Agricultural laws.

Rahul Gandhi mentioned that he has told the President that these laws are Anti-farmer; and the country has seen that farmers have stood up against these laws.

He said, “PM Modi is just making money for crony capitalists, and whoever tries to stand against them will be called a terrorist.”
