PM Matritva Vandana Yojana: The government has launched many special schemes for the farmers, women, poor and the needy. Today we will tell you about one such scheme of the central government, in which women are given financial assistance of Rs. 6000 just like farmers under PM Kisan Yojana.
Women get Rs. 6000 directly in their account
Through this Central Government scheme, Rs. 6000 is transferred into the account of all women beneficiaries. It must be noted that the benefit of this scheme is given only to women and no male can apply for it. The name of this scheme is Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY Scheme), under which the central government gives Rs. 6000 to women beneficiaries.
When was Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana launched?
Under Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, financial assistance is provided to women who are pregnant and lactating for the first time. This scheme was started on 1 January 2017.
Who can apply for Rs 6000?
All pregnant/expecting women can apply for this scheme.

Purpose of scheme
The purpose of this scheme is proper care of both mother and child, for which the government gives them financial assistance of Rs 6000. The government gives this money in 3 phases. In the first phase Rs 1000, in the second phase Rs 2000 and in the third phase Rs 2000 are given to pregnant women.
At the same time, the government gives Rs. 1000 to the hospital at the time of the birth of the child.
