In order to improve infrastructure in the animal husbandry sector, the Government is likely to approve Rs. 2477 crore for Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund. 

The development of infrastructure is expected to improve the productivity of facility in the sector. In order to facilitate the need to meet capital requirement RBI will clear the proposal for extending the facility of Kisan Credit Card. 

After the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) meeting on November 6, the proposal will be cleared by the cabinet. AHIDF is focused to increase the income of the farmers by white revolution. The fund will be utilized to protect and preserve livestock through improved healthcare facilities.  It will be achieved through a focus on modernization of infrastructure. "

"The total outlay of the project is Rs 2,477 crore, out which Rs 1,827 crore will be loans from commercial banks, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and National Cooperatives Development Corporation (NCDC),” added the official.
