Linking Voter ID with Aadhaar will help prevent duplication.

The government has made it mandatory to link Voter ID with Aadhaar card. To help people, special camps have been set up in each of the 70 assembly seats in Delhi. As many as 2,684 camps have been set up throughout the capital, according to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi.

Ranbir Singh, the chief electoral officer for Delhi, stated that people who have not yet created their voter ID cards must visit these camps. Here, they will get a new voter ID card and also link it with their Aadhaar card. Those who already have voter identification cards can come here and complete Form 6-B to link them to their Aadhar cards immediately.

If you prefer not to attend these camps, you can still link your voter ID and Aadhaar card from the comfort of your own home. The complete procedure is given below;

What if you don’t have Aadhaar Card?

The government has made it clear that a person has to link their voter id card with the Aadhaar card. But if someone does not have an Aadhar card, then his name cannot be removed from the electoral list.

Law Minister Kiren Rijiju also said that linking Aadhaar would be optional. If a person wants, then only his voter ID will be linked with an Aadhar card.
