Government to Provide Rs 50000 to Students; Check Eligibility & Application Procedure

There are various initiatives that the central & state government undertake for the women empowerment and with the same intention, the government of Bihar has decided to provide Rs 25000 to the Girl students who have graduated after 2018 as a part of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana. The amount will be transferred to the accounts of these girls.  

The Education Department of Bihar has approved a proposal of Rs 134 Crore for this purpose. For the students applying for the amount, the certificate will be transferred to the bank account through DBT - Direct Benefit Transfer after verification by the educational institutions. 

Who is eligible for availing Rs 50000? 

• Rs 25000 is offered only to girls, who have graduated after 2018 from recognized colleges. Around 2.5 lakh girls who have graduated from various universities across the state have already applied for the scheme.

• However, the girls who have passed graduation after April1, 2021, Rs 50000 will be provided under the same scheme.

• Both married & unmarried girls are eligible for this scheme.

How to apply for Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana? 

• First of all, visit the official website e-Kalyan.

• Now the home page will open in front of you. • After this you have to enter your Registration Number, Total Obtained Marks and Captcha Code.

• The application form will open in front of you.

• You have to fill all the information asked in this application form carefully.

• Attach all the important documents.

• Now you have to click on submit button.
