‘Grihachaithanyam’ for promoting homestead cultivation of medicinal plants
Kerala government has started ‘Grihachaithanyam’, a project for promoting the homestead cultivation of medicinal plants. As part of the project, the government will supply neem and curry leaf saplings to all households across the state. The project was implemented by Kerala State Medicinal Plants Board.
Kerala government has started ‘Grihachaithanyam’, a project for promoting the homestead cultivation of medicinal plants. As part of the project, the government will supply neem and curry leaf saplings to all households across the state. The project was implemented by Kerala State Medicinal Plants Board.
In the first phase, 2, 00,000 saplings would be distributed along with brochures on the medicinal value of the plants, said Health Minister K.K. Shylaja.
The main objective of the project is to supply all 67 lakh households in Kerala with the saplings over the next two years. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
