Pre-monsoon has arrived but farmers are not particularly excited about the monsoon season's good rains, while it is assumed that when there is good rain, the yield is expected to be better. Sowing of kharif crops started with the onset of the monsoon.

By the decision of Central Government , GST will be in effect from mid-night of 30th June 2017 . It is decided to impose 18% GST on Pesticides in the goods and services tax (GST) implemented by the Central Government from June 30, which will increase the troubles of the farmers. Tax is exempted on seeds, fertilizers and tractors will be taxed at 12%, whereas the products used to protect the crops will be taxed at 18%.
