Gujarat CM Rupani grants 2300 Crore to 23 Lakh Farmers affected by drought

Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani laid on completion of one year in office laid foundation stones for projects worth Rs 666 crore across the state.

Around 5,538 projects related to the education sector were launched by the Chief Minister from Gandhinagar, according to a government release.

Rupani took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for a 2^nd time on 26^th December 2017.

The projects were inaugurated through remote control from a function organized at the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital.

The projects consist of 5179 new classrooms for schools and colleges, 350 anganwadi centres and 9 polytechnic college buildings, as per the release.

Speaking on the event, Rupani asserted that the BJP government has developed a ‘corruption-free system’ wherein pro-people works are carried out in a translucent manner.

Rupani while speaking in Vadodara said more than 23 lakhs farmers in drought-hit 96 tehsils in the state have started getting input help from Tuesday. The CM was speaking at an event where Gujarat's 1^st amusement park, constructed at a cost of Rs 125 crore was inaugurated.

A sum of Rs 2,300 crore will be distributed to around 23 lakh farmers in 96 tehsils affected by drought.

The state government has also announced to pay input assistance to farmers of drought-hit regions in 3 different slabs. The aid will be given as per the rainfall received in the affected areas during the monsoon.
