H3N2 Virus Spread: Maharashtra on Alert; Schools Closed for Classes 1 to 8 from Tomorrow
On March 14, Maharashtra reported its first suspected H3N2 virus death when an MBBS student from Ahmednagar died. He tested positive for both covid and H3N2, and the exact cause of his death will be determined once his reports are released.
Furthermore, the state recorded 352 cases of the H3N2 virus in the state. Although there has been no official confirmation of the Amhednagar youth's death from the influenza virus, if reports are correct, this will be Maharashtra's first H3N2-related death case.
Furthermore, due to H3N2 concerns, all schools in Puducherry will be closed from March 16 to 26, according to Puducherry Education Minister A Namassivayam.
The H3N2 influenza virus, swine flu (H1N1) cases are all on the rise in India, raising concerns about viral infection. Cases of viral influenza are on the rise in the nation's capital, causing symptoms such as fever, cold, and body aches, and in some cases, leaving patients extremely weak due to a persistent cough.
Body aches and pains, fever, chills, fatigue, diarrhoea, vomiting, cough, sore throat, runny nose, and headache are all symptoms of H3N2 flu.
It is extremely contagious and spreads through droplets released by an infected person when coughing, sneezing, or talking. Pregnant women, children, the elderly, and people with underlying medical conditions are more likely to become infected.
