Heavy Rain & Hailstorm Likely over These States; Delhi-NCR to Receive Heavy Showers from 7th April

The Western Disturbance as a trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies has been hovered over above mean sea level which is likely to induced cyclonic circulation over West Rajasthan by 07th April, says the weather reports. Moreover, another western disturbance is also likely to affect Western Himalayan region from 09th April onwards which is likely to result in scattered to fairly widespread rain/thundershowers over Western Himalayan region during 07th to 09th April and over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi on 07th April 2020. On the other hand, isolated thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, hail & gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) also likely over Western Himalayan region during 07th to 09th April and over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi on 7th April 2020, says the Indian  Meteorological Department Reports.  

Moreover, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/thunderstorm is likely to lash over northeast India during 08th and 09th April and isolated squall over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 07th & 08th April. Isolated to Scattered rainfall/thunderstorm accompanied with lightning likely over eastern parts of India on 07th & 08th April and over southern peninsula during 06th, 07th & 08th April 2020, says reports. 

As per yesterday’s reports, rain/thundershowers observed (0830 to 1730 hours IST of yesterday): at a few places over Kerala and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, North & South Interior Karnataka, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal. 

Maximum Temperature were markedly above normal (5.0°C or more) at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir and West Saurashtra & Kutch while minimum temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places West Rajasthan and at isolated places West Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra.
