Heavy Rainfall Alert! Check IMD Weather Forecast for Your State

On September 4, 2022, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya may have isolated, extremely severe rain.

In the next three days, these areas of the country are likely to see isolated heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The Weather Department forecasted significant precipitation over the following three days in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

On September 4, 2022, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya may have isolated, extremely severe rain.

The weather office noted that on September 4, it was expected that isolated areas of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning will occur "across Bihar, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim."

IMD further stated that the Gangetic West Bengal will receive showers on September 5; Odisha from September 8 to September 10; East Madhya Pradesh from September 5 to September 6; and Chhattisgarh, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands from September 5 to September 8.

Furthermore, it warned of "isolated very severe rains over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on September 6 and 7, 2022. Over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka over the next five days; Coastal & North Interior Karnataka during Lakshadweep over the course of the previous five days; and Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam over the course of the previous day.

"Isolated very heavy rainfall across Kerala & Mahe is likely on 06th-08th September 2022," the weather agency said. It's interesting to note that the IMD update predicts "subdued rainfall activity over plains of Northwest India and over Central India during next 5 days."

Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms/lightning are very likely over Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand on September 4 and Himachal Pradesh on September 5th.
