Heavy Rainfall to Continue Throughout India till July 18, Check Weather in Your State

On July 16, over Himachal Pradesh, on July 19, over Punjab and Haryana, and on July 17, over Rajasthan, there will be isolated severe rainstorms. On July 16 and 17, as well as July 18, similar weather conditions are predicted for East Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

A Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area is present over the adjacent coastal regions of Saurashtra and Kutch, as well as the northeastern Arabian Sea.

Weather Report: In the next few days, the amount of rain over the north and northeast parts of India is expected to increase. Rainfall activity is expected to increase over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and northeastern provinces beginning on July 18 and continuing for the following five days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

"Scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Rajasthan and isolated rainfall activity over Uttar Pradesh during next 3 days with an increase in rainfall activity thereafter," the IMD stated in its weather bulletin.

On July 16, over Himachal Pradesh, on July 19, over Punjab and Haryana, and on July 17, over Rajasthan, there will be isolated severe rainstorms. On July 16 and 17, as well as July 18, similar weather conditions are predicted for East Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. On July 16, over Rajasthan, on July 19, across Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, and on July 18 and 19, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted.

A Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area is present over the adjacent coastal regions of Saurashtra and Kutch, as well as the northeastern Arabian Sea. According to the Met Department, "The cyclonic circulation that goes along with it reaches the high troposphere. Within the following 24 hours, it is likely to condense into a Depression and move steadily westward."

Over the Konkan and Goa, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra, and Kutch, rainfall intensity is predicted to decrease. Over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Konkan and Goa, Kerala and Mahe, and coastal Karnataka during the next five days, the meteorological service forecast moderately widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, or lightning, with isolated heavy rains highly likely.

In the meantime, similar weather conditions will also be present in Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat State, and inland Karnataka over the following two to three days.

On July 16, over Saurashtra, Kutch, and Odisha, over Chhattisgarh till July 17, and over a few locations in Madhya Pradesh on July 19, isolated very heavy rainfall is also very likely. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana are among the southern states that will see rainfall during the next few days.
