Heavy Snow & Rainfall Alert in These Northern States; People Advised to Stay Indoors

A fresh Western Disturbance has been affecting Northern India since Thursday 27th, says weather forecast report. The weather department has predicted heavy snowfall and rainfall along with hailstorm over many Northern states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan from 28th February. The fresh Western Disturbance brings scattered to widespread snow or rain and thunderstorm with hail over Western Himalayan Region on Friday and Saturday.

A fresh Western Disturbance has been affecting Northern India since Thursday 27th, says weather forecast report. The weather department has predicted heavy snowfall and rainfall along with hailstorm over many Northern states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan from 28th February. The fresh Western Disturbance brings scattered to widespread snow or rain and thunderstorm with hail over Western Himalayan Region on Friday and Saturday. As per reports, scattered to fairly widespread rain and thunderstorm with hail will be lashes over plain areas of Northern India on Friday and Saturday. Heavy snowfall or rainfall and thunderstorm with hail are likely over Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on Friday and Saturday say reports.

Weather in Delhi

On the other hand, the national capital’s air quality again turned unhealthy which stands at 180 in the real-time air quality index.

As per reports, maximum temperatures are -2C to -4C lower than average over Eastern India and north-Central India on Thursday. Max temperatures gradually go up over Eastern India and north-Central India in this period. Minimum temperatures are near average or warmer than average across India in this period. 

As per the weather channel, dry weather expected over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
