In the modern era, Aadhaar has become an important identification document. For any financial work, right from opening a bank account to taking benefit of any government program, you need an Aadhaar card.
If your Aadhaar details needs some changes then the UIDAI gives you the choice to update or modify it online/offline. The process is quite easy but you need to pay some charge for it.
How Much Does It Cost to Change Address on Aadhaar Card?
According to UIDAI, you can easily change your demographic data (name, address, date of birth, gender, telephone, and email) by paying just Rs 50. If you are charged extra, you can make a complaint by visiting this website: https://resident.uidai.gov.in/file-complaint.
People can pay Rs 30 at the Aadhaar enrolling center to have their e-Aadhaar card printed. You won't have to pay any fees, though, if this is your first time signing up for Aadhaar. Similarly, children between the ages of five and fifteen are not charged for the required biometric update.
People should be aware that the enrolment center may not charge more than Rs 100 if they update both their biometric and demographic information.
Further, the enrollment centre may not charge more than Rs 50 if you update more than one field at once, such as your email address, mobile number, or address. However, you will be charged if you make many visits to update demographic information.

How to Update the Address on Your Aadhaar Card Online:
Go to the "Proceed to Update Address" option on the Aadhaar Self-Service Update Portal.
Use your Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, and OTP to log in.
"Proceed to update address" should be clicked.
By entering the OTP, log in.
Enter the new address after selecting "Update New Address Proof."
Select the records that will be provided as address proof after that.
After submitting the scanned copy of the address verification, press the "Submit" button.
If the Aadhaar update request is approved, a 14-digit Update Request Number will be issued.
What is the Time Limit to Change Address?
According to UIDAI, Aadhaar cards holders are allowed to change their names in their Aadhaar records twice throughout their lifetimes. You can only change your birthdate once in Aadhaar.
