HP Government Applauds Urban Local Bodies Members for their Work amid COVID-19 Pandemic

The members of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) are one of those frontline workers, who are working very hard for providing every facility to the common people amid this pandemic. This was stated by Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur Ji while addressing the members through video conferencing.

The members of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) are one of those frontline workers, who are working very hard for providing every facility to the common people amid this pandemic. This was stated by Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur Ji while addressing the members through video conferencing. 

The CM said that about four thousand workers in 54 ULBs of the state were not only maintaining hygiene in their respective areas but also keeping close watch on those persons coming from other parts of the country in the wake of corona virus. 

The State Government has provided INR 1,500 for two months to the workers of ULBs as incentives, besides giving them one month salary in advance so that they do not face any financial hardship due to corona pandemic.   

These people are also sanitizing the quarantine centres. Around 179 Self Help Groups of ULB had provided one lakh masks to the needy persons.
