ICAR Deputy Director General Dr RC Agarwal and IPS Principal Advisor Anil Rao Pays Visit to KJ Chaupal

ICAR Deputy Director General Dr RC Agarwal and IPS Principal Advisor Anil Rao visited KJ Chaupal and enlightened the team on education and empowering career opportunities in the agriculture sector.

The Deputy Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Dr RC Agarwal, and IPS Principal Advisor, Anil Rao, on Saturday, July 15, visited the KJ Chaupal at Krishi Jagran, Delhi. He was invited by the Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Krishi Jagran, MC Dominic and Shiny Dominic, Director, Krishi Jagran.

Born in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India on 1 June 1963, he received educated at Government School affiliated with UP Board; B.Sc. BSA Degree College, Agra University, Mathura, 1983; M.Sc. Indian Agricultural Research Institute, 1985; Ph.D. IARI, 1989; Post Graduate Diploma, Indian Law Institute, 2007.

He is the Deputy Director General (Agriculture Education) and National Director, National Agricultural Higher Education Project, ICAR- 2019 to date.

M C Dominic who has recently unveiled the trophy and logo of the Millionaire Farmer of India Awards (MFOI) during the curtain raiser ceremony said, “It was his blessing that we started Wings to Career, we are very privileged to have him and that too into the education sector. He is a man who dreams of new arrangements and new things and I was astonished to see the growth he has achieved in education. Wherever he touches his hand, we can see he makes something different and today we are here to hear the idea he had about Krishi Jagran and find out the millionaire farmer, a perception changing the image of the Indian farming community. We can create the aspiration and that’s the reason behind we are working for the Millionaire Farmer of India.”

Supporting M C Dominic, Dr RC Agarwal, ICAR Deputy Director General said, “As the responsible Deputy Director General in agriculture education, I am directly responsible for higher education and we are making all efforts to make agriculture the choice subject and bring good outcomes in the same. ICAR being the facilitator and quality controller of education we have reserved 20 per cent seats in all the agriculture universities. Also, we are surprised to see the coaching centres coming out dedicated especially to agriculture. In addition to this, ICAR is also supporting undergraduate students by funding them to go for higher studies with full support.”

In this regard, Anil Rao, the IPS Principal Advisor, lent support to the discussion and wrapped up the event.
